Who We Are
A leadership development and training program for girls and women.
Founded in 2010, by Erin Webb, Beautiful You, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Beautiful You is organized to mentor, develop, and equip girls and women to become the woman God created them to be. Often girls and women believe that due to the way they look, past mistakes, or the horrible situations being faced every day that they will never be beautiful. We teach that true beauty comes from within. We live in a world that often forgets that true beauty is not an outer expression, but a reflection of what is in the heart. Our goal is to instill within each girl and woman her true identity in Christ.
*You have to know who you are , before you know what to do *
We will do this by:
- Discovering girls and women who need to need to internalize the true meaning of beauty
- Developing each one to uncover her unique gifts, talents, and God-given purpose; and
equipping them with the knowledge and experience needed have confidence in themselves.
- Deploying confident girls and women into the world to fulfil their purpose and change the world they live in.
Our mission:
For every girl and woman to feel truly beautiful by developing each one to know her value and potential, and to fulfill her unique life’s purpose.
Our vision:
We see learning opportunities that radically impact the way girls and women view beauty. From these opportunities, we see ladies who do not conform to pattern of the world, but instead transform society by living out of the beauty that is within each one of them.
We see Beautiful You reaching out to girls and women across the United States and abroad by attempting to change the world’s definition of beauty. We will accomplish this vision by providing top-notch learning opportunities and resources for all girls and women who are a part of the ministries of Beautiful You.
We believe and uncovered purpose = A fulfilled life = A beautiful life
Why We Exist
Today girls and women feel an undeniable pressure to conform to the world's perception of beauty; as a result, so many feel as though they are not good enough or beautiful enough. The pressure to conform has led many to depression, eating disorders, sexual impurity, insecurity, a lack of self-confidence and worth, and even suicide.
I'll call nobodies and make them somebodies;
I'll call the unloved and make them beloved.
In the place where they yelled out, "You're nobody!"
They're calling you "God's living children."
Romans 9:25
This verse has become the prayer of my heart. Through Beautiful You, I hope that
many girls and women will find a place to belong- a place to truly shine and feel
beautiful. I pray that every woman and child who has ever been told that or feel as if they are a “nobody” will come to understand that not only are they “somebodies”, they are the loved daughters of a Heavenly King. At Beautiful You we have a place for everyone. We believe that inside of each person is a leader. We want to provide a loving and supporting atmosphere where every girl and woman can gain experience and confidence using her gifts, talents, and strengths to be who she was created to be. We exist so that every woman and girl can experience feeling truly beautiful by reaching her greatest potential and using it to transform the world.
Some Startling Facts, Statistics, and Studies that show the importance of what we do at Beautiful You:
• Only 4% of women around the world consider themselves beautiful
• Only 11% of girls globally are comfortable using the word beautiful to describe themselves
• 72% of girls feel tremendous pressure to be beautiful
• 80% of women agree that every woman has something about her that is beautiful but do not see their own beauty
• More than half (54%) of women globally agree that when it comes to how they look, they are their own worst beauty critic

Covington (1989) reported that as the level of self-esteem increases, so do achievement scores; as self-esteem decreases, achievement scores decline. Furthermore, he concluded that self-esteem can be modified through direct instruction and that such instruction can lead to higher self-esteem and academic achievement.
Girls, whose families criticize their weight, or their eating habits, may develop lasting problems with bad body image and self-esteem, a new study suggests. [...] Researchers found that of 455 college women with poor body image, more than 80 percent said their parents or siblings had made negative comments about their bodies during childhood .

Eating Disorders affect a large number of people in the United States. The statistics state that:
- Approximately 7 million girls and women struggle with eating disorders
Unfortunately, the media pushes an unnatural body type, making it difficult for us to accept natural beauty:
- The average American woman is 5'4" tall and weighs 140 pounds
- The average American model is 5'11" tall and weighs 117 pounds
- Most fashion models are thinner than 98% of American women
Children are influenced by their parents, peers and the media:
- 42% of elementary school students between the 1st and 3rd grades want to be thinner
- 80% of children who are ten years old are afraid of being fat

Oklahoma Facts:
• The Oklahoma Suicide Prevention Resource Center recently disclosed that girls attempted to commit 61 percent of all teen suicides in the state.
• Oklahoma has the eighth highest teen pregnancy rate in the nation.
• More than 20 percent of girls in Oklahoma do not graduate from high school.
How Beautiful You got started:
Well like many of you I, Erin, have a past of being bullied, and being told I was not good enough or pretty enough. I just wanted to feel beautiful, wanted, and loved and I tried to fill the void with the wrong things. I thought being desired by a man would make me feel beautiful, but… it didn’t. I thought having a busy schedule and feeling important would make me feel valuable, but… it didn’t. After going through some difficult trials and making some lousy choices I began to despise myself and what had become of my life. I began to question why I even existed. I felt lonely, broken, and just plain ugly. With a past like mine I did not believe I had anything to offer anyone. However, I began to desperately seek God, and I asked Him over and over to show me what I was supposed to do with my life, and guess what… HE TOLD ME! I was at women’s retreat in the Fall of 2009 when God answered by prayers. It was a crisp cool morning and the sun had yet to rise, when a song came to my heart. It was a song by Michael W. Smith called “Draw Me Close.” The lyrics say: You are my desire, no one else will do, ‘cause nothing else can take your place to feel the warmth of your embrace. Help me find the way bring me back to you. You're all I want. You're all I've ever needed. You're all I want. Help me know you are near. I knew at that moment I was trying to fill the void of not feeling beautiful or desired with the wrong things. I knew that Jesus had to be the main man in my life and that nothing else would do. I knew that I had found the answer I was looking for, and that my live would never be the same. Right before it was time to leave the retreat a woman I did not know approached me, looked me straight in my eyes, and said, “You are beautiful. You are beautiful inside and out, and you have a beautiful heart.” WOW! What an amazing word of encouragement from a lady who did not know I was struggling with feeling beautiful. It was on that day I knew I had to help girls and women everywhere know that they are worth it. I wanted to make sure that every girl and woman knew that no matter how they have been treated or what they have done that God can fill the void in their life and make them feel beautiful – more beautiful than any mirror, man, or success ever could.
Well hello, Beautiful, thanks for stopping by! I hope that you found something on our website to get excited about! If there was one thing I could make sure every girl, lady, and woman knew it would be this:
You are no accident. No matter what you have done, how you think you look, or how you have been treated you ARE valuable and FULL of potential. You are needed, right now, because you were created to fulfill an amazing and unique destiny that is all your own. That makes you beautiful -the kind beautiful a mirror could never define.
I would like to personally welcome you to Beautiful You: The place where beauty is not an only outward symbol but a reflection of what is in your heart.
Love and joy to you,
Erin

"Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Romans 12:2
Pink Revolution is for all of you teens out there who want to take a stand and rebel against the worlds definition of beauty. We think about beauty a little differently around here - we measure beauty by more than what we see in the mirror. Do you want to be a rebel? Do you want to go against what culture says you should be, and stand up to be the beautiful young woman God created you to be? If, so you found the right place.
A revolution is a rebellion that succeeds in overthrowing a swayed belief and establishing a new one.
Let’s start a revolution together!
We love the lyrics to SuperChicks song “So Beautiful”
“We are light
We were born beautiful
We were meant to be more then these shadows of girls
They cut us down to size
Afraid we'll change the world?
But we'll fight for your right to be beautiful girls
If every girl could see her beauty,
We would be an army”
